Print it. Fill it. Watch them pounce. FoodFlip is a mechanical, 3D-printable wobble treat toy with a mouse-like shape, an internal scent chamber, and swappable maze inserts.

FoodFlip turns a print into a living feedback loop: make it, load it, test it, watch what the cat does, then change the difficulty and try again.

Build
Assemble the passive mechanism. No wiring, batteries, firmware, or soldering.
Play
Add dry treats and optional catnip. A paw or nose starts the motion.
Experiment
Swap Easy, Medium, and Expert mazes to change the treat path.
One paw starts a whole chain of events.
The ears make FoodFlip look like prey and double as twist grips.
A small removable lid keeps catnip contained inside the hatch while scent can diffuse.
Kibble moves through the selected insert as the pod tips and rocks.
A printed puck lowers the center of mass so gravity pulls the pod back toward upright.
The chunky rear tail gives the cat an obvious target and creates extra torque when swatted.

The challenge comes from the geometry, not electronics. The same FoodFlip body accepts different internal treat paths.
Kitten / Easy
Open path with a center mound. Best for first exposure and learning the cause-and-reward relationship.
Pouncer / Medium
Three short baffles interrupt the path and reduce how often kibble reaches the outlet.
Hunter / Expert
Nested baffles and offset openings make the food path longer and more stochastic.

Files are parametric and editable. The STL is the output; the design logic remains available in the CAD source.

The result is not another shelf print. A cat can interact with it, giving the builder immediate behavioral feedback.
